Hot tubs are fantastic places to relax at the end of the day, but they have much more potential. They’re also great for families, as there are so many games that kids can play in a hot tub and stay entertained for hours. Read on to learn five fun games that kids can play in a hot tub.
Outbreak
Outbreak is a game where you must avoid something as if it were a zombie outbreak. To play this game, you’ll place five ping pong balls in the hot tub, and each player must avoid the balls. Another rule to make the game more difficult is that players must have their feet touching the bottom of the hot tub at all times. Consider throwing in an additional ball each time a player loses to make things more challenging.
Hot Tub Hockey
This game is great for kids and adults, as it can get incredibly competitive. Each team has a side of the hot tub and a rubber ducky in this game. The goal is to get their duck to touch the opposing team’s side of the hot tub, moving it only with air and water. You will need to do a lot of splashing to win, but don’t forget, you must also play defense in stopping your opponents’ ducks from getting any closer.
Cold Shower
This game can hurt, but it’s still one that everyone should try. To play this game, you should fill a balloon with ice-cold water until it’s just about to break. The game is a lot like hot potato, where you pass the balloon, and everyone must hold it over their head for around five seconds. You lose when the balloon pops and gives you a cold shower. You may be the unfortunate loser, but it’s still a fun game to play.
Sink the Battleship
For this game, you will place an empty plastic cup in the middle of everyone. Despite the game’s name, you want to do everything you can to not sink the cup. Everyone will pour water into the cup for five seconds, and then it will go to the next person to do the same thing. The player who sinks the cup is out, and the last person in the hot tub who has not sunk the cup is the ultimate winner.
Water Cards
This game may not be specific to hot tubs, but it’s one that you may not have thought you could play before. You can buy sets of water-proof playing cards and use almost anything as a table, like a frisbee, boogie board, pool float, etc. Now, you can play cards in the hot tub without worrying about them getting wet and ruined!
Kids will love these hot tub games and are sure to have a fun time with any one of them.
